Treasure Valley SRTS program has a new bus donated by Valley Regional Transit. The bus, a 25 foot cutaway, runs on compressed natural gas. It fits 28 bikes, 12 scooters, 1 adaptive bike, 1000 cones, 150 helmets, and 5 staff, all the things necessary for transportation safety education.
The bus has a new wrap in partnership with the Office of Highway Safety SHIFT Program. The inside has been reconfigured to hang 12 bikes on one side to create floor space. Treasure Valley SRTS is collecting stickers from every school served and they are displayed on the bumper.
Treasure Valley SRTS is the largest SRTS program in Idaho with 5 staff holding over 130 events a year for Treasure Valley students.
